How to Use the Storeroom Key in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

In Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, the Storeroom Key is a crucial item that you'll come across while exploring Belurat. If you’re not careful, you might miss the door it unlocks and the NPC you’ll meet inside. This guide will help you locate the Storeroom Key, find the Storeroom, and interact with the NPC, Hornsent Grandam.

Storeroom Key Location in Elden Ring DLC

You’ll acquire the Storeroom Key during your exploration of Belurat, but you’ll likely have already passed the door it unlocks. The key is found near the Small Private Altar Site of Grace.

Where to Find the Storeroom Key

1. Starting Point: Begin at the Small Private Altar Site of Grace.

2. Head North: Proceed north and ascend the stairs.

3. Eliminate the Horned Warrior: Defeat the Horned Warrior blocking your path.

4. Turn Left: At the top of the stairs, you’ll be overlooking the waterfall that cascades into the fountain square you’ve seen earlier.

5. Navigate Around: Move to the right (north) to find an alley leading to the opposite side. Be cautious of Shadow Undead in the area.

6. Find the Building: At the river, turn left and enter the building on your right.

7. Climb the Ladder: Ascend the ladder inside the building to discover the Storeroom Key on a corpse at the top.
   
   

   
   
   

How to Use the Storeroom Key to Meet Hornsent Grandam

1. Return to Small Private Altar Site of Grace: Head back to the Small Private Altar Site of Grace.

2. Cross the Bridge: Exit and take a left (south) to cross the bridge guarded by casters.

3. Unlock the Door: At the far end of the bridge, use the Storeroom Key to open the door leading to Hornsent Grandam.
   
   

   
   
   

Meeting Hornsent Grandam

Upon unlocking the door, you'll find Hornsent Grandam inside. While there’s nothing specific to do with her immediately, she has a penchant for creative insults. Also, unlock the additional door nearby to access more options, though it won’t serve as a shortcut. This door provides a tactical advantage against the Shadow Undead in that area.
